Dior Beauty makeup collection “Plan de Paris”
This personal project explores Dior's Fall limited edition collection makeup « Plan de Paris ».
As a beauty illustrator, I had to create illustrations of the products and the models wearing the different looks, that would not only highlight the products' luxurious qualities but also convey the brand’s commitment to create glamorous makeup looks for all skin complexions.
Creative process of the project
1/ Research and sketches
After researching the products and making some moodboards, I sketched out a range of product illustrations and stylized faces to test different compositions.
This stage was crucial in determining the best approach to highlight each product’s key features.
2/ Refining & color tests
After selecting my strongest sketches, I refined them and tested some color palettes. For instance, I decided to keep the faces white to keep the focus on the makeup looks.
3/ Final work
The final face charts illustrations were adapted in a small animated GIF to showcase quickly all the looks but also to compare them all in an entertaining way.
It’s more convenient for people to see what they can get through a quick video than comparing multiple still images by themselves.

The product illustrations were used as accessories in the GIF to show the product combination required for each look. They can also be used as product feature illustrations in magazines.

The use of the different face charts not only highlighted the products' features but also created a visual identity that would stand out in both retail and digital spaces, attracting beauty lovers who seek both premium quality and inclusivity.

Final thoughts on the project
This project reinforced my understanding of how illustration can tell a story and bring a product to life, especially in the beauty industry, where visual appeal is paramount.
I also refined my skills in creating artwork that balances creativity with commercial appeal, something I’m passionate about when working with beauty brands.
Ultimately, this project strengthened my ability to work on a project with multiple illustrations and files, and produce high-end, inclusive, dynamic illustrations and animation that can resonate with a diverse audience.
